The year is 1935, and you are in New York. Perhaps you wake up in your bed, the house you must have always lived in, or perhaps you're on a boat on route from a foreign country headed towards Ellis Island... for a moment, you may feel a disorienting sense of being lost, of not knowing where you are and that something is wrong. Then, the feeling passes, and you remember you've been here all along. And still, the sense that something is off doesn't pass. There are buildings that you feel you don't recognize, parts of your memories that don't seem to line up, or that are missing entirely. You remember Franklin Roosevelt being elected, but you don't remember what you ate for dinner last night. Maybe you're a reporter... or maybe you're a police officer, or a waitress. Maybe you're a thug in the employ of the Kingpin or the Goblin, two high-profile mobsters who have managed to evade capture for lack of evidence. Even more strange is that some of the people here seem to know something you don't. Perhaps you'll get a strange look by the owner of the speakeasy, miss Felicia Hardy, as she passes you your drink, or perhaps you're only imagining it. Perhaps you feel there is something more to your life than you are seeing... or perhaps nothing seems wrong to you at all. Some of the clues are hard to find, and you may lose your life trying to get to them. Some of them are in plain sight. There is a mystery out there to be solved.
